The Art of Showing Art SUNTORY MUSEUM of ART

The free-standing display cases require no lighting fixtures at the top; instead, they are illuminated directly from the ceiling. This arrangement is simple and effective, serving the concept of removing anything that might intrude on the visitor's aesthetic appreciation. In the case of special items such as lacquerware, a light-diffusing sheet is placed over the case to regulate the incident light.
