A tranquil ambience where everything that might disturb your encounter with art has been removed

"Displays that won't appear dated ten years from now." Acting on this directive, the Suntory Museum of Art applied the latest technologies to create these unique display cases. So as not to disturb the tranquility of the gallery, the cases are so unobtrusive as to be virtually invisible. All emphasis is on displaying the work of art itself to best possible effect. All protrusions, indentations or joints that may intrude on the enjoyment of the exhibits have been expunged, leaving a pure and unhindered focus on the art. Evenly lit from above and below, the free-standing, low cases are designed to prevent the leaking of light away from the displays.
